Add a Space

Add a green space to Wild York’s map of the city, to help everybody enjoy what we have.

The data you fill in below will be checked over and then added to the public map.
Don’t worry if you don’t know all the details, just fill in as much as you can. If there are many spaces you’d like to add, complete one form per space and submit as many as you like!

If there’s a space already on the map you’d like to add some more information to, you’re in the right place! Just fill in the relevant parts of the form and we’ll update the entry.

Please start by including the title of the space and a short description of the space below. If there is no official name, give it a good one! Your description can be as long and detailed as you like. You might describe what is there, what its story has been, what happens there and any future plans there are. You could include species that are present, special habitats, things to forage and fun things to do. Each green space has a page in the website where the description, images, and links will be shown.

Using coordinates we can get the location in exactly the right place. You can find the Latitude and Longitude easily using Google maps by clicking to drop a pin. For example, Walmgate Stray is at 53.946790, -1.062154

You can show the outline of the space to add to the green corridor on the wild york map. To do this you can zoom in and out with your scroll wheel and click to make points outlining your space.

When you’re happy with your selection press ‘Enter’ on your keyboard and then press the square icon in the top right to set your selection in blue.
